Liquidamber ‘Gumball’

Categories: ,

Description

Quite possibly the best small form of Liquidambar, This naturally dwarf variety has been grafted onto the traditional styraciflua to create a new topiary form. The new growth in spring is a lush lime green which deepens to a dark emerald green in summer producing a beautiful summer look. Autumn time is something to behold with the tree turning a riot of orange-red and wine-purple which persist deep into winter. A superb tree for courtyards and layered plantings, instead of traditional robinias or similar trees.
