Open Garden

We are open to the public several times a year with our Open Days which usually coincide with public holidays.  

We are also Open by Appointment. Visiting this highly structured garden is a delightful way to spend an hour or so. And it is just 7 minutes from central Masterton. 

Visit any time of year, each season has its rewards…in spring the blossoms on the Pyrus Candelabra are in full riot, in summer the buxus is rich and the palate of hydrangeas, iris, salvias and clematis is flamboyant, in autumn the avenues of quince, fig and pin oaks turn to gold, crimson and butter, and in winter the beech hedges glow like newly smelted bronze beside the stunning aromatic shapes of the bay topiary ‘room’.   The garden’s composition is resplendent in straight lines, yet because the many ‘rooms’ of the garden are in perfect sinc, this element of balance and the layers of green provides serenity and calm anytime during the year. 
Whether you prefer Exploring on Your Own or a Guided Tour we can accommodate large interest groups or just one person. Guided tours typically last around an hour, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and relax with a cup of tea or coffee afterwards.
